[Mods, please move if I got this in the wrong forum.  Thanks!]

I hate to have to do this, but I'm cleaning out the house in preparation for a possible somewhat unexpected move.  Big items and unfinished projects that won't fit in my future smaller space are unfortunately on the list of things that must go.

I had a kind local AC member make for me some speaker cabinets for GR-Research speakers that I intended to finish myself.  Time put the projects on the back burner, and now I neither have the time nor soon the space or room to either finish or use the completed speakers.  I may shortly have to part out my current DIY speakers to "downsize" for my new living quarters as well, but I'm hoping to only cross that bridge when I get to it.

In any case, I have some very well made cabinets for the GR-Research Rythmik servo subwoofers.  Originally intended for dual drivers run off single plate amps, I have four of these cabinets total - two have the amp holes cut in the back, two do not.  I'm attaching pictures showing details of the front and back of one of the cabinets, but again I have four of these in all.  The cabinets were built to Danny's reference specifications, the front and back baffles are rounded over on all four sides, and all the interior braces are rounded over as well.  I have kept them covered in storage this entire time to ensure that the wood did not change color at all without any finish applied, so as best as I can manage, these are as new as the day I bought them.

I'm willing to take a loss on these considering the circumstances, and I would much rather see them used than go to waste, so I would like to ask $150 per cabinet shipped CONUS.  Local pickup at zip code 53916 is also possible, at a savings to the above, but unfortunately I don't have transportation available to meet someone or deliver them.  Also, due to my work schedule, I can only ship out on weekends, and I will need a little time to get the proper packing materials to ship these out safely and pack them as they are sold.  So, it might take me a few more days to ship out than I would like, but thanks in advance for understanding.

I also have a pair of N3S cabinets built to match - baltic birch construction to the spec design, front and back baffles rounded on all edges, all interior edges rounded as well, and no holes drilled for binding posts (I asked for them this way so that I could drill them for whatever posts of choice on completion).  Again, willing to take a loss, so $150 shipped CONUS for the pair?

Please feel free to PM any questions or best offers.

JJ,

Sad to see these go.  I know when I built the sub boxes, they flew off the shelf across the country.  Very heavy and tight..

Thanks for all the support, everyone!

Here's what I've got as of right now in order of PM/interest:

vin69 - 2 subs no amp cutouts
dkalsi - 1 sub no amp cutout
santacore - 1 sub with amp cutout
pwag - 2 subs (no preference noted) plus N3S
playntheblues - 4 subs

I've replied to everyone's PMs and I'm sending vin69 and dkalsi another PM this morning, as I am waiting replies from both of them from yesterday.  Whatever I hear from them (or if no reply) when I check back in after work tonight, I'll move on down the list with what is available.  I just want to keep all this straight and keep everyone up to date where I'm at, and I'll post updates/send PMs as we go along.

Thanks again!

UPDATE: All items sold and paid.  Have PMed everybody and will be sending tracking numbers privately once I get them.

Thanks again, everybody!

My cabinet arrived today and looks great!! The packing job was great and the cabinet is exactly as described. Thanks again Jonathan for hooking AC members up!

Now, does anyone have any finish ideas? My speakers are a high gloss walnut, so I'm thinking about doing something a bit more subtle, but in that vain.

Nice!  Thank YOU!  I've been worried all week about all the boxes I've sent out last weekend. . . waiting to hear back from the rest to make sure everybody is good before I start in on round two of selling stuff. . . sigh. . .

As to finish, check out some of jparkur's (the guy who built the cabinets) work in Danny's circle.  He did a pretty sweet starburst fade finish in a dark walnut on one of the pairs of speakers he built last summer.  You might want to put your question up on Danny's circle as well - probably get a good amount more advise not being hidden in a completed sale thread.

Have fun with your project!

And finally -- mine arrived as well today.  Thanks Jonathon for a great packing job. Now we all need to ping Danny for a group discount.  :)

Hi, I am interested in the SUB's cabinet but was not clear which one was that. Is this for the 12" woofer? Also, could not see any photos'.
Could you please send me an e-mail to jush501@yahoo.com with photos of the sub and the N3S?
Appreciate your assistance.
