I'm comitted to sell and don't have the money or skills necessary to fix, if necessary.
Thanks for the support. Everything was sold to one person on Craigs List for $400. I just hope it was a fair price for both of us.
Someone got a great deal! The PAS preamps usually go for $200-250 in mediocre condition, the FM3's get around $70 in fair condition, and the Mark III's can catch at least $150 each. When you include the original tubes the price only goes up.
Clean MK III in good working can command up in the $7-800 pair range. PAS3 is about right. FM3 with a good tuning eye will go close to $200
(1) I am not sure why the Dynaco tube stuff commands such high prices. (2) The PAS in its stock form is just an average sounding preamp, to make it presentable there are many modifications that one can do but these modifications typically reduce the value of the PAS. (3) So what are these people who drop $250 on an old PAS doing with them? Are they rebuilding them, using them in stock form, or installing rebuild kits like the one that AVA offers.
