Has anyone has experience with ASL 2001 DT preamp.. I am also interested in getting one but want to hear some comment before I purchase one. My local ASL dealer here does not carry this
model.. so I cannot take it come to try out. Would someone please
tell me how does it sounds like ? How much better than the ASL 2004 DT ? My friend has the 2004 with all original tubes replaced with Telefunken tubes and they sound pretty dawn good for the money.. The only complaint is the imaging is not holographic enough when come to Jazz and classical music ( has room for improvment).
I know the ASL 2001 DT has more tubes than the 2004DT and wondering
how much better to the over all sound, music contributed over to the 2004 ? Is it worth the extra money compared to $195 2004 ? I am looking for a preamp with better holographic image, airy and dynamic
than my the ASL 2004.
What are the pros and cons of 2001?
