My CL app on my iPad found these a couple days ago I think it was. I live in Oregon and if I had the cash I'd come get them. Crazy good deal even with the cabinet flaws. These speakers are incredible  :duh:

I'd ease up the crack description.  You can cover that information in detail once you get somebody interested, and start a dialog.  I have these same speakers with the Pali veneer as well.  The cracks are barely noticeable unless sitting in direct sunlight, and I don't think it normally detracts from the quality or the price, though your picture does make it look somewhat worse than normal.  Maybe take a picture that reflects what a person would typically see in a typical room, rather than using operating room lights.

I recently sold off all my old Polks, where I mentioned a microscopic blemish in my ad.  That one issue ended up being the primary point of discussion, which was ridiculous considering the out-of-box perfect condition they were in.  It took a lot of reassurance over their excellent condition to close the deal.

Also, do you know how to post pictures directly in Craigslist?  I find it makes an ad more appealing when you don't have to click a bunch on links.  Of course, your pictures need to be less than 800 pixels wide.

I know html, the pics are just huge and i figured people want something that loads quicker.

Im probably going to take your advice and make less of a deal about the cracks. Even i struggle to find them in bright sunlight.

Do both.  An image in the CL ad accompanied with a link to a larger one.  Craigslist not only has a small limited photo size, but the import algorithm is of really poor quality.  Even photos of the perfect size that don't require resizing still look pretty bad.

It's interesting how a flash can make defects look so much worse than they really are.  Good Luck.

You still haven't sold those LS6's!

What would I do with 3 pairs of speakers

Get divorced!

You could put a positive spin on the cracks, like:

"The beautiful Palisander Rosa veneer of the LS6 is unparalleled in it's presence, with deep, dark color and an exotic pattern.  This hard wood veneer has some micro fissures common with the unique look of this rich wood, and will stand out in your home as not only a spectacular loudspeaker, but a work of art."

I don't feel too slimy writing that, because I have purposefully bought 3 speakers with that veneer because I love it so much, and don't give a hoot about the cracks.

I will ship i just dont know how to ship it without having the original box. I would need to have a box built or something, then freight would be $300-$400.

I have two boxes you could have if you were in the Seattle area.  I've still got the foam, cotton covers, double ply boxes, etc.

  No worries, they won't be up for sale for a very, very long time.

I have to take back what I said earlier about all three of my pali speakers.  My MFW-15 actually look like cr@p.  The cracks on the top are pretty big, and it's bubbled in a couple spots.  But that was a known issue.  The price I paid, vs. performance, makes it difficult to complain.

It hasn't been a problem with the LS6's, thankfully.

I've often wondered if the issue could be addressed by fine sanding and putting a piano gloss finish over the top.

In another thread someone mentioned a towel and a hot iron to smooth out the bumps.  It was in the speakers for sale thread here.  Quite naturally it was an av123 speaker veneer.

I love my LS6.  My wife has finally given the green light for some room treatments.  I am so stoked.

At about the time you were posting this I was lightly sanding my Palisander LS-6 cabinets with 320 grit sandpaper. I couldn't believe all the little cracks in the veneer when one is up close. However, from just a few feet away the veneer looks greats. After sanding I wiped down the cabinets with mineral spirits. Then I applied the first coat of Miniwax Wipe-On Poly. I'll be sanding and applying the second coat today.

If you can, please keep me posted on how this turns out.  I'm very interested.  My LS6's are not in direct sunlight, so I can't see any cracks, but if that ever changes, I may want to do what you are doing.

My old MFW could use the treatment now.  Course it doesn't matter as much, now that I own your old cherry Turbos.  But my wife may force me to put one of the Turbo kits in the Palisander cabinet.  I'd rather not go through the hassle.
