Modwright KWA-150 SE Signature Edition - Excellent Condition - SOLD

For sale is my Modwright KWA-150 Signature Edition solid state 2 channel amplifier.

The amp was upgraded by Dan Wright in September to the Signature Edition so it is practically new. The amp has been reviewed favorably by a number of reviewers including 6moons and 10audio http://www.10audio.com/modwright_kwa150se.htm .  The amp is rated at 150 wpc at 8 ohms and 250 wpc at 4 ohms in stereo mode.

The amp is rated 9/10 only because it isn't new. Otherwise it is in excellent condition. The amp currently costs $8,500, new.


I will absorb the paypal fees but the buyer pays for shipping. With packaging the amp weighs 85 pounds.

Asking price is SOLD (plus shipping).

Surprised this had not sold at this point.  This is a great amp for that kind of money (a steal).  I use one to drive Thiel 3.7s which are less than 3 ohms over a substantial portion of its response.  I had a 600W (conservatively rated into 8 ohms and 900W into 4 ohms - the listed impedance) rated before the Modwright and the old amp could not drive the 3.7 as well (one could actually burn themselves touching the heatsink at times).  This is one of the best pieces I've heard near its price point, outperforming more expensive things.
