Replacement Feet For Torus
« on: 26 Jan 2012, 06:27 pm »
Hi James,
I have just realized that 3 of the feets on my Torus have crushed and are turning to powder. Can replacement feet be ordered through my dealer?
The only components that have ever been on top of it is the BP26 and BCD1 until i find a suitable and appealing stand for them.

Thanks,

Mark

Hi Al,
I have the Torus RM15 and it weighs about 50lbs. I was surprised to see the damage done to the feet..... they are quite small compared to Brystons.
You can actually crumble the front right foot by lightly rubbing it with your finger.... very strange indeed as i have never encountered this before.
I'll wait see what Torus has to say.

Could be oxidation caused by ozone.  Is there anything around that could be producing ozone such as a generator or anything arcing electricity.  Do you live in a high ozone area such as Los Angeles?

Hi James,
Any word from Torus about feet replacement or if i could order some feet that the BIT uses? Torus should be using the size Bryston uses for the amplifiers etc.

Or, did i have your wrong email address when i sent it jtanner@bryston.com?

Thank you,

Mark
