Thoughts on the newest Wilco album (The Whole Love)? Personally, my favorite album is Sky Blue Sky.

"The Whole love" is my favorite,
"Hotel Yankee foxtrot" second.
And "being there" third.

"AM" is the worst.

But everyones opinion is different, Wilco albums are all good !

I love their livealbum "kicking television" very much too, that's the one I listen to most, in the car.

It's a great album and absolutely ranks up there with their best work.

As good as the studio album is, it sounded even better live this past fall.

Yeah I think it's a really great addition to their catalogue. I've had the privilege of seeing them live as well. They're incredible live! I'm going to search for the other thread and see what I can contribute

I love this band!! As Roscoe stated ,the documentary must be seen!
I saw their last tour. It was a small theater here in Pittsburgh. Three straight hours of awesomeness!!

I love Sky Blue Sky!! I need to hear the new album some more. I will say the first song, is as good of a song as I have ever heard from them.

Colekaye1, your title makes it sound like you think there are no Wilco fans here. ?? The Whole Love is not exactly a new album; it was released 6 months ago and we have several threads on it already. Search is your friend.

As George commented, I love Wilco, but love them even more live (saw them here in NE Ohio 3 times in past 3 yrs alone). I especially like the post-Ghost albums live vs studio.

Edit: sorry of this sounded like I was scolding, etc. Just wanted you to find the earlier stuff easier (and confirm that AC is pro-Wilco).

The last or current tour was/is great. I think Nels is a bit of a wanker but it's all good.

I love all of their albums. But I still find myself thinking YHF and Ghost are the best.

Sky Blue Sky took me the longest to like - after which I absolutely loved it. It's a slow penetrator for sure.

Ghost is my favorite. I've listened to The Whole Love a couple times and enjoy it. There's a lot going on on that album.

The Whole Love is growing on me, right up there with SBS. Next for me is YHF, Wilco the album, AM & Being There. Did not like Ghost at all and gave it away after one listen. I have 6th row center seats Feb 6 at the INB Performing Arts Center in Spokane.

Wilco is great!

All a matter of opinion. Impossible Germany is my all time favorite Wilco song and You and I from Wilco is as pretty a duet as is out there.

I got The Whole Love for Xmas & it is growing on me as well. I've been w/ Wilco/ Uncle Tupelo since the beginning & own all their stuff. The only one I dislike is Wilco the album (gave it to my daughter early on). My wife dislikes Sky Blue Sky (particularly Impossible Germany, which I love). My faves are still AM & Being There. Different Strokes...

Wilco live is fantastic, seen them in concert twice.

I saw a show where they opened for Sheryl Crow. It was the last show before she was to open for the Stones. It was crazy! Pies were thrown, band members chasing each other around, full length mirror placed in front of Sheryl Crow's guitar player... the last encore song was performed w/ Jeff Tweedy picking up Sheryl Crow while they sang a duet!

Corrected for typos. I love the iPad, but it is so much easier to make writing errors ...

The Whole Love is a really strong album. Probably 3rd for me though. YHF and Summerteeth are slightly ahead. Ghost doesn't get much play simply because I love the live version of Handshake Drugs & Spiders from Kicking Television so much.
