Just thought I'd mention that I've borrowed from PMC for a demo next week their IB2i's, so if anyone is passing please pop in to listen to how awesome these speakers are, especially that gorgeous mid range

I'll have them hooked up to a Bryston 4B SST2, BP26, BCD-1, BDA-1 and BDP-1.

I'll hopefully have them for a week or so so please feel free to come and say hi

I'm never one to miss posting a pic or 2, I setup the IB2'is yesterday at work, as I have the MB2i's at home its refreshing to get a sound I'm used to at work as although all the PMC range is extremely good I really miss that mid range cone when at work, I won't be in any particular hurry to give them back I have to say.

Hey guys,

I posted this in the BHA-1 thread but thought I'd re-awaken this post as the open day is this weekend

In anticipation of the launch of the Bryston BHA-1 in a couple of weeks and as a thank you to anyone who comes in on Saturday, to our PMC/Bryston open day, I've managed to get the bosses to agree to hold a draw at the end of the day for one lucky winner to receive a new pair of the award winning Grado SR325i's absolutely free.

These normally retail for around £350, it was the 325i's that I first heard when comparing different headphones which led me down the Grado path to the PS1000's that I eventually ended up with, they really do sound great, here is some more info -

I'm going to get Mrs Vipers to sneak in and register, I'm sure no one will notice

Kyri, I thought you'd be a dead cert, I've even ordered in a SP3 for you so you can take it home on the day

Sorted out today with Tom at PMC how we are going to run the Open day on Saturday, basically our main demo room will be SP3/9B SST2 with BDP-1/BDA-1 and a fully specced LP12 for some vinyl sessions together with our Runco projector, unfortunately no BHA-1 as it hasn't gone into production just yet, but the SP3 has a great headphone out so we will use that, along with 24's for fronts with the twenty.c and 22's at the rear.

In our smaller demo room will be the 4B SST2, BP26 and BCD-1 along with the 21's and finally in the main showroom will have the Mighty IB2 XBDS-A's hooked up to another BDP-1, this I can't wait to hear

So hopefully there is enough toys to keep us busy for a few hours, then at the end of the day we will do the draw for the Grado's

I'd love an SP3 or any other Bryston equipment in fact. But the M is taking me to a lot of petrol stations right now!

I know you'll do your best Kyri, I'll be looking out into the car park waiting for the mean machine to screech into view.

I'll be setting up tomorrow along with PMC, we can start on Saturday from 9am onwards and keep going till late into the night if needed, I'll try and get some pics up tomorrow, that should help entice you a little more mate

Kyri, you need to get to Zinc tomorrow, you have just got to hear the IB2 XBDS-A's, without a doubt the best speakers I have ever heard, they have just jumped to the top of my shopping list, you'll be putting that new car up for sale once you've heard them

We've also got the cinema room sounding excellent with the SP3 and twenty series, we ended up using a 4B SST2 for front L+R and a 9B SST2 for centre and surround duties, the train crash in Super8 really rocked but I'm hoping to use Kick Ass alot tomorrow, you can't beat that film.

I'm probably going to take my BDP-1 in tomorrow as at the moment we have got the BCD-1 hooked upto the IB's but once you are used to having your whole collection at your fingertips having to change cd's to listen to a different artist is a real chore.
