Hi Guys,

I know it is probably a little too far for most of you to travel but I've arranged a Bryston and PMC open day for March 17th at our store in Borehamwood just outside London, UK.

We will have the SP3 setup with a 9B SST2 driving PMC's new Twenty range in a 5.1 setup, we'll also have a the BP26, 4B SST2, BDA-1, BDP-1, BCD-1 and hopefully the BHA-1 on demo, we will have a lot of the PMC range of speakers on demo but what I'm most excited about is that PMC will be bringing along their IB2 XBDS-A which should sound pretty phenomenal.

So if anyone is in the area please feel free to bring some music and films along and we'll make a day of it

MMmmmm, that setup sounds familar as I mentioned before Kyri if you ever want to pop round for a listen to my system just shout, make sure you've got a clear credit card though as once you've heard it there is no going back, sometimes ignorance is bliss but then again that is no fun

Be great to finally meet Alpha, like you I think I should stay away from the IB's also, saying that I've still got my heart set on a pair of MB2 XBD's though, according to Tom at PMC the IB's are a very different beast to the MB's, very neutral and extremely revealing, can't wait to hear the BDP-1 hooked up to them playing some top quality 24bit

I'm hoping we will have a good turn out, I got a phone call last week from a nice guy who is coming all the way down from Edinburgh just to hear the SP3 , that is the draw of the SP3 at the moment, so it looks promising, just need to make sure we do it justice in our demo room.

A word of advice Kyri, Don't buy the BMW until you've heard the SP3, 7B SST2, MB2i combo and lets see what puts the biggest smile on your face

I would agree with Paul - saying that I have a 520M sport, so I understand your dilemma. SP3 v's BMW - tough call, both put a smile on your face, just a different times of the day..

IBs's ?? - I'm surprised that you haven't asked PMC to also bring along the MB2i XBD's , or even the BB5 - now that would be a good shoot between all three speakers  - you would get people from Australia coming over to hear that demo!

Now there's an idea, as much as I crave the MB2i XBD's I still haven't heard them, maybe better of that way tbh otherwise I may end up finding away to squeeze them in and move the MB2i's to the rear

Saying that I'm extremely keen to hear the IB2 XBD's, they are supposed to be pretty stunning, for anyone who isn't sure here are the beauties -

I know you will love the SP3 Kyri, tough call though, as you know cars have always been a passion of mine also, I thought that was an expensive hobby till I re-discovered hifi.

To change the subject slightly, I know you go to The Goodwood Festival of Speed, how good is this year going to be, a celebration of all things Lotus, as a big lotus fan and owner I can't wait, have you got your tix yet? we are going to the revival aswell this year, first time, going to be a good year 

Thinking about it, If you were going to buy a Lotus over an SP3 I could almost understand

Mate, I've yet to get my tickets.  The Revival is absolutely brilliant.  A few years ago a friend & I watched a priceless BRM smash into the barrier and duly write itself off.  You have to respect owners who drive these cars to the limit, regardless of their value - the pleasure is in the driving.

I drove the 1M earlier.  Needless to say I was impressed and very happy - I bought it!

Combine interests and play some of the "Victory by Design" DVDs.  The Ferrari DVD will put a smile on anyone face.
