AC NextGen infrastructure sneak peek - IT geeks only!

Thought some here might be interested in taking a look:
http://blocks.angophora.com
This is a small demo site of some of the infrastructure that I've been working on. There's a lot "under the hood," which will make new features a lot faster to implement.
I'd welcome any comments or questions of a geeky nature - not too interested in AC-specific questions at this point, as it's "just code" right now.

I'm a long way from being a geek but I'm naturally interested in what you are up to. Like most of your projects, I have no real idea what you are up to but I typically have had some grasp of what you are trying to do.
There's potential there...
My only comment is that it needs more pipe cleaners...

Hey Seano, yes I think it's time to get the pipe-cleaner show back on the road. I ordered another server but it came without any networking setup, which is weird. Oh well, yet another thing to figure out...

Hah, difference of opinion between the server and the web interface. Hold onto your hat!

JohnR, what are your priorities for the new architecture of AC? That is, what is most broken now....capacity for addtl members, overall bandwidth, ease of use, flexibility in adding new features...or mostly back office stuff like ease of admin?

Hi Ted, good question - ease (and cost/time) of adding new features would be the main one. A while back I was very seriously considering switching to a different forum base because of this, but SMF pulled through with the 2.0 release so I decided to work with that... better the devil you know and all that.
One other item is multi-domain support, which is deeper than "new feature." I see it's been done with SMF so there's hope for that one, although it will be a little later.
