cowboy junkies trinity revisited - 24/96?
« on: 23 Jan 2012, 07:17 am »
Got myself the Cowboy Junkies "Trinity Revisited" - but my dvd audio extractor is not bringing up any 24/96 audio, as per the album back cover notes!  It's the 2007 release, 2-disc.

Anyone know this release?

Yes, the DVD portion is 24 bit (I believe) but not 24/96.  The album was recorded in 24/96, but not delivered that way.  I'm a huge Junkies fan but this is a bit disingenuous.

One of my favourite words, "disingenuous".  Pity I find myself using it so much.

Thanks for the info!

Actually just checked again...the DVD 2 channel portion is 16/48.  The video is standard def.  The liner notes say recorded in 24/96 and hidef video.   :nono:

I do like the re-doing of this classic album, though.  It is fresh and, as posted here when it first was released, not to be compared with the original.  They are two different things IMO.
