SummaryLavry DA10 DAC with original box and manual, four years old, $550 including ground shipping within the continental US (and I will sell only to buyers within the "lower 48").
Thanks for looking, and please contact me via a PM if you're interested.
The DACI bought this DAC in January 2008. I am the original owner, and used it between a Squeezebox SB3 and a Parasound Halo P3 preamp. It is in excellent cosmetic and perfect operational shape.
I have the original packaging and manual. I will also include a pair of 6' XLR cables (from Markertek). Note that this DAC has only XLR (balanced) outputs. If you want to use it to feed a device that accepts only unbalanced (RCA) inputs, you need XLR-to-RCA adapter plugs/cables.

If you Google, you'll also find many forum postings about the DA10 vs. the more widely-known Benchmark DAC1. (I doubt any of that is news to AudioCircle members, though.)
Why am I selling?I'm selling it because I simplified my system to free up some cabinet space. I also wanted remote digital source switching; this DAC has no remote.
About meI'm an infrequent poster here. I used to be more active before the Ellis Audio circle closed down.
I used to sell items on eBay, but I haven't done that in years. My user ID there is "lsutigerfans", and I have a 100% positive feedback rating. Most of my transactions were for small items (books, CDs, etc.), but I did sell several components, including a Rega Planet, Sony ST-S730ES tuner, Legacy Audio Classic speakers, Pioneer SA-9100 integrated amp, McCormack Micro amp and preamp, and others that I can't recall.

I have a small web site (
http://home.hiwaay.net/~rgs) that documents some of my DIY projects. I hope it gives you an idea about how carefully I treat the things I build and own.
Payment and other conditionsI don't have a PayPal account, so I'll accept only USPS money orders.
I realize that not many (or no) buyers are going to be willing to send me a money order and trust that I will ship the DAC. To share the risk, we can split the transaction like this:
- You send me a money order for $200.
- I ship you the DAC via FedEx COD.
- When the DAC arrives, you give the FedEx driver another money order for $350.
This way, if I'm a bad guy, you lose $200. If you're a bad guy, I lose the DAC, $350, and the shipping cost.
I will sell only to buyers within the continental U.S. I just don't want to deal with customs, long shipping times, etc. related to shipping anywhere else. I'm always nervous whenever I ship items, and I like to keep my worry time as short as possible.
The price includes FedEx ground shipping COD.
I will double-box the unit for shipping.
