All I ever needed to know about motorcycles I learned the first time I rode a 2 stoke.  I had 6 of them over the years.  Love it when the powerband hits!

When I put the Bassani expansion pipes on this bike, you REALLY got a peaky power band. Hang on!  8)

I had a 74 Yamaha 360 Enduro bored out with a Webber head and expansion pipe. It had so much back pressure and threw me off so often I had to install a compression release valve just to crank it. It once kicked back so hard it broke the sole of my boot. Whenever I went on an extended ride I took two spare plugs as that two stroke beast would foul them in a heart beat. Two strokes would go like stink but they were a PITA to maintain.

Great pictures. They didn't quite know what to do with that radiator, did they?

was that "minus" BSA Twin Lightning?

Yup, I met Carol when she was in the fourth year of her five year post doctorate general surgery training and she was frustrated by the number motorcyclists that were so difficult to stitch back together. Nice clean edged knife wounds or encounters with industrial blades were easier to treat and had better outcomes than mangled and shredded any day.  So I had a choice between the bike and her.  Easy choice.

I like that blue and white triple.
Put a front fender on it, some seat padding and a chain guard and you'd have a great cafe' racer.
I can't remember the last time I saw one of those on the road.
