SETUP QUESTION

I have a setup question for the VR-5 Anniv.

As I understand it for most speakers, the center of the tweeters should aim about 1-2 inches above the ears from the favorite listening position. Is this true of the Vr-5 and if so, do you measure from the tweeter or the mid-range??

Hi,

Typically I like height to be between the center of the tweeter and that of the midrange in a quasi-pointsource like VR-5s. Having said that, the wide and even off axis response of the VRs both vertically and horizontally make relative height not much of a concern. I think whatever looks most comfortable to you from the listening position should do the trick. Balance hardly changes over a few inches of difference in seated height. Enjoy!

I agree with Jack.  I have done the up and down thing with my Annies and the difference if there is one is subtle.
