Delta-2-H4 nicely matched pair of 1962 12AX7. LARGE HALO. These 1962 Amperex Holland-made, Valvo-Branded 12AX7 with the large halo have slightly greater transparency and 'lively' sound than the later small halo versions. In fact, I prefer these to the long plate version because the sound is 'crisper', but the mid-range remains glorious. This is my 'go-to' 12AX7, and the reference to which all 12AX7 must be compared. No such thing as 'best'; that said however, these are a reference standard for sonic comparison.
