We recently received an email from The Absolute Sound with the following:

Your product is included in The Absolute Sound 2012 Editors’ Choice Awards feature. This annual feature publishes January 30th in the March 2012 issue.

Also included was this logo...



This is the second year in a row.  I don't have any other details, but its nice they thought of us.

In the recent edition they are mentioned with the Ultravalve amp.  It didn't sound like an outright award in the magazine but I am glad it is.

Unfortunately, for a number of reasons, TAS doesn't seem able to acknowledge the wonderful qualities of Salk speakers, especially the Soundscapes. Perhaps we believers benefit.

A few thousands of advertising and retailer markup dollars might be helpful to gain their awards.

Just received the March, 2012 Issue of the Absolute Sound with the 2012 Editors's Choice Awards. On page 38, under the category of $1500 - $2000 speakers the award goes to the Salksound SongTower QWT. There are about twenty speakers listed in the group. Congrats! The SongTowers are great, but it's time for the Soundscapes to hit this list too.

My issue hasn't arrived yet, maybe today, but did they show a photo of the STs?  In their formal review paired with the AVA amplifier, there was no photo of the STs even though Jim had sent them some from which to choose.

Space is at a premium in any magazine.  If you advertise, they are more likely to find the space for photos.  But it is very nice to have made the list none-the-less.
