I just saw this listed as being in stock @ The Elusive disc.  But I haven't seen it elsewhere.  Does anyone have this yet or has anyone heard it?  I didn't buy the CD last week just because I figured it'd be out on SACD or DVD-A pretty shortly.

Barnes & Noble has it in Saint Paul, and I assume in their larger stores that handle cd's, around the country.  By the way, it's plenty good listening and I hope Diana continues to take some chances and not lock herself into a safe rut of doing primarily standards.

I have not been there yet but check out Costco. They seem to get music really fast these day.....I have heard that this is more contempory as she tries to go more mainstream do to hubby Elvis Costello writing and co-writing songs with her.

I bought the CD kind of out of curiosity as I like some of Elvis's contemporty stuff and I kinda like DK's stuff, except that orchestrated one..

Anyway, I LIKE IT!!! I think this may be one of DK's best. It is certainly recorded much better than the old Impulse releases (which were horrible IMHO). Also, the rest of the musicians are much better on this disk as Diana seems to have hired a group of more professional session musicians vs. her usual band.

It is refreshing to hear her do some original material and not do too many covers. Although I've always thought she was a pleasant singer, she is no match for some of the folks that have previously done many of the tunes she has covered.

I give it a thumbs up! The CD is very good. Hopefully the Hi-Res version is even better!

after finally finding the SACD version locally (i already had picked up the redbook version)..... it kind of surprised me that at least one track is a different take from the studio.....

the first track has a longer introduction before she starts singing on the SACD version.....

i haven't had a chance to do a direct comparison on the rest of the tracks yet..... but when i first played the SACD i felt something was wrong with the first track....

interesting concept..... putting out two different "versions" of the same recording.....

additionally.... this is a great recording and it is cool to hear diana starting to expand her musical horizons with some original tunes as well as doing more than just old jazz standards...(joni mitchell, etc.)
