Pioneer SX-1250 Restoration Source Needed

A buddy of mine up in Connecticut has a Pioneer SX-1250 that he would like to have refurbished.  Is there a Pioneer receiver guru in his neck of the woods? 
He's looking at somebody's services on eBay but that place is a crapshoot.

I would recommend posting over on diyaudio.  I believe there are some folks that have that unit and seemed to know a lot about it.  I am sure they could help you out.

I'll second that. He has been restoring these older receivers for quite a while. Never dealt with him personally but i know he does nice work.
