I currently have a Yamaha CDR-HD1300 that I can use to rip vinyl. I am looking to move to a computer based solution. The amount of information and options I have found is staggering. The Furutech GT-40 seems to have the features I am looking for, but I am not sure how well the 24/96 recordings sound when ripping vinyl.
I have what I consider to be a high resolution system, so I am curious if the GT-40 is up to the task as a DAC/ADC. I am a Windows guy since I have worked on that platform all of my career, but from what I have read the MAC with Pure Vinyl seems to be the best option. I would stream and record via the USB to the GT-40. How is the performance of the GT-40 as a DAC/ADC? Does anyone have a sample needle drop I can hear?
Thanks,
Greg
