I walked in as Gary was just starting to fire these up, and they were magnificent even not burned in.  He was talking to me as Joan Baez was singing Diamonds and Rust, and I just tuned him out without meaning to as I listened to the music.  It literally was a goose bumps moment.
If you have to ask how much, you can't afford them!

Gary,

Those are incredible.  I like the upright design.  This has been a very cold winter here in Sonoma Co.  Do they throw off some heat?  You have to keep the Doddcave warm.

How many huevos per channel?

Now you can replace your amps.  Maybe we should take up golf?

Let's just say that they can power anything that you can throw at them.

I think the Mono Block rating at 600W , draw 720A at idle.
Nice heater for winter.

I think you mean't 720W at idle.  Right?  If not, Gary must have hit the lotto.

Haaaaaaa!  Don't pull that lever.  Those amps can wake the dead.

Gary might just offer an off the grid battery system eclusively charged by lightening.  That would be really far off the grid.  It could have a wind turbine backup for sunny days.

We all know electrons charged by lightening sound better.

Seriously, I think Gary said that he had measured at 10 hz and got a rediculously high number (500 wpc?)....at 10 Hertz! He still had more measuring to do.  Those are 24 matched Genelux KT-88's and there are 6 more spares.  30 matched expensive tubes....$$$$..... listening to them was like getting a look at the Crown Jewels. Very cool, but clearly made of Unobtainium for retired high school teachers.

When does the DIY kit get released on these?
I'm assuming class A operation?

This is not going to be a Dodd amp, as this is going to another manufacturer.  I think Gary was simply too proud of it to keep it under wraps.  :no_speak: I don't blame him.  Hard to be quiet when you've got something like this to your credit.

You should wear a helmet if we play.  For me golf is a contact sport.  At the course by our house I don't think there is a tree I haven't hit.

I saw a similar designed Dodd amp on the old Audiogon site someone was selling.  It looked like a smaller version of this Dodd.  Is it Vincent that has this type of look?  or Blue Circle.

I believe that was the hybrid tube/mosfet amp Gary made a couple of years ago. Another great product.
