BG RD75 and 8" Servo Subs
« on: 27 Dec 2011, 08:12 pm »
Do the new 8" servo subs open the possibility of an interesting project using some of the larger BG units?  I know there are plans for the Neo 10 but what are other BG candidates for cool speaker projects.  I would love something that is very narrow like the BG RD75 in my somewhat small room.  Ideas, thoughts?

BG recommends a listening distance of at least 15 feet for the RD75:

If your room is small (a relative term, to be sure), the R75 might not be the best choice.

I am not that big of a fan of the RD drivers. Pros and cons.

There are other cool 8" servo projects in the works. X-Otica for one...

Danny - -Do you have a picture of the original X-Otica?  I''ve forgotten what they looked like.

Thanks.

I do not. However, I don't think the original concept is going to be quite like, or quite as exotic as what I have planed.

Thanks for the pic django.

I look forward to seeing - and hearing -the new design.
