Dumb Question on MAX and Gnome Music Player
« on: 25 Dec 2011, 10:30 pm »
How is it when I use Gnome or MAX and the songs from an album are listed, I cannot get the songs to play consecutively. If I highlight one song and hit Play, that song plays and then nothing further plays.? How do you get the entire album to play through? This should be simple but it has eluded me so far! Thanks.

Hi Neal - are you placing them in a PLAYLIST?

No, James. Too much eggnog. I now see that if I just hit Play without highlighting the first song, it will play through. Not sure if this happens, though, if I highlight a song in middle of the list and then hit Play. Will try it.

This device sounds breathtakingly good! I have to say, I was skeptical, but it really is very very good. Wonder if anyone has experimented with power cords and/or USB cables. I am using an Elrod EPS-2 Sig that I was using on my CEC TL-1X transport and I know sounds great with digital devices, but also will try LessLoss Sig and Nordost Valhalla and Brahma just to see what effect, if any, PC's have. USB cable is stock with HDD from Seagate. Boys and their toys.

HH to all.

Hi Neal - glad you are enjoying the BDP-1 and I get a least an email a week from someone who like yourself was skeptical untill they actually heard for themselves.   :thumb:

As for the cable issue that one is still very much up for debate - some have tried testing the cable from the USB drive to the BDP by putting say 10 songs on a USB  Flashdive (no cable) and the same 10 songs on a 2.5 inch rotary USB drive and do an A/B test.

As for the cable between the BDP and the DAC that would be interesting?
