The A5 retailed at $3,000 new. I have enjoyed this amp for about 3 years. It sounds amazing. The A5 is extremly powerful at 250 watts. It is also very musical with a very sweet midrange for solid state, true highs ,and contolled powerful base.
I blew a fuse in this unit while hooking up a subwoofer. I had it fixed and have been using the unit since then.
When it got fixed it came back with a slight problem with the volume knob. I should have taken it right back , but have lived with the issue for over a year and half. Sounds is perfect on music and home theater.
There is some static when turning the knob ocassionally. This is a simple fix, or you can live with it. I can turn the knob so no static goes into the speakers, no problem. It also has a remote , and no static is given to the speaker using this method . This is a minor issue as I believe the knob is slighly off by a fraction .
