Super-V's????
« on: 17 Dec 2011, 04:03 pm »
Currently using a pair of Von Schweikert VR-33's abut I have an urge to build (have built) a pair of Super-V's.

I see a recent build that was compared very favorably to Harbeth 40.1's that impressed me.

Anyone have any idea if the Super-V's would be an improvement over the Von Schweikert's?

Thx in advance for any feedback.

I'll be totally honest with you. Those speakers aren't even in the same league as a Super-V.

I have one customer that owns a pair of the earlier VS flagship speakers. I think those things weigh about 500 pounds each or something. They have been sitting in the back corners of the room since he got his Super-V's almost two years ago. I think he would like to sell them if you know someone that wants a pair.

Hi
I am the guy comparing the Super Vs and the Harbeth 40.1s.  The Harbeths have not come back into the room and probably will not ever!! I am having an absolute blast with the Super Vs. They do everything extremely well and I have never heard better bass.... EVER :thumb:

My friend has Von Swiekert DB100s. They are not even close. He is planning on selling his too. If uyou happen to be in the Boston area, you are more than welcome to come listen.

I can't seem to post photos from gallery and I'm not sure why. When I click on the photos it goes into a mode that looks like uploading but it never stops or changes from that mode. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

What am I missing ??? :duh:

Thanks for the assist TrungT

These are the Super Vs with the charcoal gray grill covers. You can't see the frames normally. The flash made them visible. I must say while my wife likes the covers I prefer the speakers without the covers. It hides too much of my favorite blue :D

They are sounding absolutely incredible with the Mastersound 845 monoblocks. I think there will be a pair of Harbeth 40.1 on Audiogon soon.

I apologize for hijacking this topic
Can I move this to (with photos) to Super Vs play their first notes? Thanks

Don't worry about it. Just make a new post over there.
