MPaD help
« on: 16 Dec 2011, 02:33 pm »
I have tried to find phone or on-line support for the MPaD interface can't locate.

It is a rather basic problem...the interface shows two copies of each album and its contents. I checked the drive and it only has one copy stored. Not sure where to go in the Ipad/MPaD interface to correct this.

Any help would be appreciated.

Try deleting the album art cache and reload the MPAD program.

Sometimes various Aps will do funny things on the iPad.  Try rebooting the iPad -- that will often get rid of the Ap gremlins.

Very timely post for me as I just lost the "Repeat" function in MPad. Took your advice and it worked.
Thanks!

I find rebooting the iPad is not necessary. quit Mpad, double-click the home button, hold Mpad until it wiggles, click the minus-sign. Home button. load Mpad. refresh album art.

In fact I do this al the time after loading new songs, because Mpad in my situation also shows wrong album art form other albums....

updating the database is the preferred method when the above has not helped enough, but the above is always the first step.

hope this helps,

Marius

Marius, where do you find a place on Ipad to "refresh album art"?

Oops... :duh:

Of course I should have written : refresh local cache.

Sorry for that.

The Ipad with Mpad/Mpod is working ok now....had to remove the Mpad app and reinstall it.

That solved the double song entries and the inability to play certain songs although the songs were ripped accurately.

One final issue remaining - album art on about 15 percent of albums is not showing. Tried to reload various art that I know works on other albums but does not show up.

One final challenge - to find a way to download and show liner notes.

Otherwise an easy to use and excellent sounding digital system.
