I almost forgot. The 10B-SUB is so good, I am giving it a Secrets Best of 2011 Award for Audio Accessories. The banner will be made on Thursday or Friday, and will be added to the page that lists our Best of 2011 Awards. You can use the award banner on your website if you wish.

Best,

JJ

Wow - great acknowledgement.  This is probably even more special in that it brings one of these lesser known Bryston products to the forefront.

Very nice review from a very  credible (IMHO, one of the few) reviewer.  IIRC, Mr. Johnson was the reviewer who took the cover off of the Lexicon universal player.

and well deserved. Serving and saving my ESL63's longtime now. So unobtrusive I might as well hide it, though I really like it to be in sight...and it therefor is :thumb:

congrats,

James that would be hard to do. You have been wonderfull. That is system number one. System two is Maggie 3As or Lenahan S2 with ARudio Research 250 mk2 servo, custom transformer based passive pre and Plinius 101CDP. With 32 tubaroonies in the AR it is time for a Bryston amp. :thumb:

Hi James,

Can the 10B sub be special ordered with low pass cut off point below 40Hz?

I decided to cancel my order for the Maggie 3.7 and wait a little longer for the 20.7.  Since the Maggie's flagship speakers go a little lower (25Hz vs 35-40Hz), should I want the sub(s) to be active say from 30Hz down?

If not possible, would the 7B-SST2 be okayed to drive the 20.7 full range in a 19.5' x 27.5' room?

Thanks,
K.

Hi klao,

Yes we can do custom crossover points for you - it is an extra $100 per change.  Yes I have heard the 20.7's with a 4B at Magnepan and all was fine so a 7B should work extremely well.

Thank you very much, James.

If 4B's are fine with the 20.7, then I'll try my 7B's with the speakers in my room first, before re-considering the custom made 10B SUB.

BTW, if you happen to talk to Wendell, please tell him to kindly send his Thailand distributor the official price list of the 20.7 soon.  I had just signed a PO with them and made some deposit yesterday, even without hearing the speakers nor knowing the final price here yet.

Hi klao

I am on my way today to help Wendell set up a pair of 20.7's at a prominent magazine in the US so I will certainly mention it to him.

Very much appreciate your help, James.  :thumb:

Wonder if the reviewer would use any Bryston gear as part of the Maggie 20.7 review.
