Which 1TB WD Passport to buy?

Which 1TB WD Passport to buy?

There are two out there:
WDBACX0010BBK-NESN  USB 3 and 2 $199
WDBABM0010BBK-NEBB USB 2 only $119

I don't need USB 3 with the BDP and I can't find power specs.

Which one works?

I have the first one which is USB 3.0 and 2.0.  It works great and I have had no issues with it.  It is available at Amazon.com for $159.  I also could not find any power specs.  Both of them likely work fine but I have no experience with the USB 2.0 only.

Hi Jftm,

Right now I have 2 of the 1Tb 3.0 Passports running fine at the back of the BDP1. No power-issues. I do somehow get the feeling the one attached to the top-rear-port is slower to transfer files to, but that might be imagination, not sure. In playing there is no problem yet! ( I did encounter serious problems with other drives before).

I'd go with the 3.o versions anyway, because of future compatibility, despite the fact that the BDP1 has use for it. Your PC might, as do other peripherals.

Just ordered a WDBACX0010BBK-NESN, although I ordered red (because the red was $119).

Great price.  :thumb:  I noticed that different colors were different prices on Amazon.  Makes no sense but it is good to be able to take advantage of the lowest price.
