I use one of these:

Musical Paradise MP-301MK2, 6 watts X 2, Performs well above its $260 price point. There are a few threads here about them and a few over at head fi....here is the link....http://www.musicalparadise.ca/mp/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=6&products_id=75

I'm not really strong technically but a few guys on here use them and are so maybe they will chime in with any specifics.

That looks intersting.  I'm using a T-amp modified with a Audio Magnus Tweak Kit.  Wondering if the 6 watts will be enough to drive the Pardigm Atoms.  This is a small spare room set up.  Mainly listen to jazz.  The $53 shipping hurts though.....

I don't know much about the amplifier, but it certainly is one of the nicest looking cheap Chinese integrated tube imports!

Not sure what version Atoms you have, but I see the v.5 has an 89dB in room (87dB anechoic) sensitivity with a recommended 15W - 80W.  I think I would be a little more comfortable with a 91dB or greater speaker or a 12W/ch tube amp for the Atoms.

Eclein might want to chime back in and say which JBLs at what sensitivity he is using them with.  (I'm probably safe in assuming he is using JBLs with it!)

Wow, talking about the Atoms brings back good memories. I had a pair of v.2s about ten years ago...great little speakers!

Every time I see that MP piece I can't help but admire it...very nice looking

My JBL of choice this week is 89db, but the others I used it with were rated as low as 86db and I don't recall ever having an issue with powering them. If you jump be aware that although mine was built in the first 10 or so and its been months since I got mine the first ones had an audible hum that in most cases was corrected with break-in and in my case I swapped out all the tubes for Mullards, some old some newer and my investment was maybe $100 for the tubes shipped to me and all but like I said that may very well be a non issue. I just don't feel right suggesting something without telling you the whole story.

They are extremely heavy for the size, I was surprised to say the least...LOL..the designer is Garry Huang and he is very approachable if you need to ask questions.
  :thumb:

edit: They are better looking in person, I'd buy one again just for the looks....LOL....I love it!

Jolida FX-10 is 10 watts per channel for $499. What adds to that value is a remote control. This is a very cool amp to look at when the lights are down low with the glow of blue LEDs under the tubes.

I like the natural amber glow of tubes themselves, but not blue LED backlights to try and "bling" them?  Do you know if the LEDs can be easily disabled?

Not sure on that Steve, the distributor might could easily disable them. They do a lot of custom mods to the Jolida amps.

I'm with Steve about the backlights, but if one can disable them, that would make both camps happy.
Also, I thought tubes with mercury had a purple bluish tint.

My friend in Bountiful was looking for a tube integrated for another friend of mine in Illinois, and he couldn't resist and ordered the Audioromy FU29.  This unit has mixed reviews from other sites, but my friend has already ordered replacement tubes from Russia, just in case.  I can't wait to hear it, before he starts modding the crap out of it. You can see that some of the tubes are not even set well. But $500 shipped from Hong Kong or the Canadian distributor (a little higher) is not bad. I would say it has about 25 watts per channel.  I do like a simple remote like the Jolida has.

I made my own.

It's a highly modified version of the classic Dynaco ST35.

Corndog,
Do you have a battery operated homebrew preamp as well? I was trying to see it behind your amp.'

It's not homebrew.  It's the Bottlehead Quickie!

One just popped up right here which should fit the bill if you have efficient speakers:

Chuck the tubes and you're good to go.

You CAN'T go wrong w the JOLIDA FX10 AT ALL~  this little gem could be modded and honestly its an impressive peace of equipment and for the price I dont think you can get anything better :thumb:

I have mine and I modded just a few things on it, honestly.  I wouldn't get rid of it, trade it or sell it!  I'm very happy w my Jolida...
