Maybe 15-20 minutes west from downtown. Right now the owner is getting the front end set up with a new music server and turntable. Shoot me an email and I'll forward it to him.

Yes, very different and quite striking with the walnut burl veneer. My low-fi camera really doesn't do them justice.

Yes and the BPT power conditioner works great with the dedicated lines.  :thumb:

Awesome looking!

Why the curve?

What can you tell us about the sub section?

Thanks

The curve along with output tapering is used to control the vertical wavefront for better phase integration and wider dispersion. In this regard it outperforms a straight array and if you want to stand up to listen there's very little change in tonality. The tapering also provides more control of the horizontal response. The end result is a superior room interface that conventional designs cannot achieve.

The sub section is a 12" TC Sounds LMS-R driven with a 500-watt ICE amp. It's a sealed box with DSP equalization to extend the low end response. A DEQX HDP-3 is used for room correction. The bass quality / definition is exceptional.

Rick,

Absolutely nothing against any of your other work (I love what you do!).  This design of yours is the most striking and unique in my opinion.  Love them!  Great work sir.

Thanks for your kind words. With my consultation of Don Keele and Marshall Kay of Audio Artistry I'll be doing some more advanced arrays as well.  :thumb:

Very nice!

Any thoughts on the performance of the full arc vs floor standing half arc cbt?

How are the ribbons integrating? Do you think there could be anything gained by making a custom faceplate to allow closer mounting?

I am following your work closely, because the cbt seems to be the most exciting new thing in audio.
Keep up the good work!

The groundplane arrays do have some advantages; however, this room was arranged so that separate subwoofers were not possible. The ribbons integrate very well ; in fact, better than any array I have ever designed using ribbons. You could trim the faceplate some to achieve closer spacing or implement a group of smaller dome tweeters.

Thanks for the reply. I look forward to listen to one of these designs one day.
