This is a good price on this excellent amp, don't miss it!

So Wilson, what direction are you going in now?

I have been comparing tube amps with the Cherry, and finding I like the sound of tubes. Unfortunately, I can't keep all of the amps, otherwise I would. May regret this, as you all know how highly I esteem the Cherry, and still do.
Since I have pretty high efficiency speakers though, I'm going to try out lower powered, class A and see where that takes me.
In all my comparisons though, the Cherry still had attributes not equalled by other amps. Namely, macrodynamics, lack of distortion, and limitless power. The Cherry plays at a level beyond its price, in my experience.

Nice, enjoy. Equipment change is a big part of the hobby for many, and going in a completely different direction, in no way discredits the DAC amps.

The Cherry line are absolutely musical amps that should be heard more widely!

I have compared them with ICE- and Tripath-based amps, as well as other proprietary Class D designs, and the Cherries are far more tonally accurate, dynamic, refined, and musical, musical, musical.

Has anybody compared the Cherry Amps to the Hephaestus Class D mono blocks which were favorably reviewed in StereoMojo?  The reviewer ended up buying a pair....but they are much more expensive.

I've only compared to bel canto s300, red wine sig. 30 (power amp), and Nuforce v9 se. No comparison, the 4800a and Cherries were much more refined and musical.

Guys, even Jeff Dorgay (an unapologetic Class D cynic) thinks the  Cherries are musical amps and put them in the same company with ARC  Class D integrated, CI Audio, and recent Bel Canto. All are more  expensive than the Cherry Plus - they start at $5K.
