SIXTEEN INCH Ortofon arm, an Empire, Harmon-Kardan, B&O, etc.
He never really seemed to care about sonics, just loved the toys. Sound like anyone we know?
Anyway, I had to handle the audio estate for my mom when he passed. I don't have any of his old gear, but years later I did buy some nice stuff from a former student of his several states away, via the old Audiomart rag.
But the old Garrard 88 sure tugs at the memories.
