Lost the digital out on my Mac Mini, what the heck?
« on: 27 Nov 2011, 07:45 pm »
I was installing XLD ripping software today, with much trouble I might ad. amd seem to have lost my headphone out. When I go to Audio midi to check why sound is coming out of the little mini instead of through my system I see there is no option for headphone out. I know it should be there as I have been there before. Is there anyway to check hardware or some other way to verify the digital out is working. It's as if the mini doesn't see the headphone or optical out.
Any suggestions? More urgent. Please help!

More info.
I uninstalled the XLD and rebooted the mac several times. Still the only ouptu device that shows in Audio Midi are the internal speakers.
