Please check my Audiogon rating, under "watercourse" - 100% positive. All good feedback at Audio Asylum too, also under "watercourse".

Steve,
How is your system sounding now? Must have at least 100 hours break in time by now, right?
Dodd and Cherry Jr. bringing back very good memories!

In a word "Incredible"  The combo is a delight to listen to on almost anything I've thrown at it.  The Cherry grabbed the bottom end and has phenominal control on all of the woofers in the LS6's.

I put a 6H30DR tube on my Christmas list for the Dodd.  I hope my wife comes through.

Excellent news! FWIW, although the 6H30-DR is nice, so are the EH gold pins in my Juicy Music Peach II. Maybe you should ask for one to compare. In the name of science, of course!  :green:

I have the EH6H30 in there now.  Are those the Gold Pins?  I don't know.

I  have compared the Cherry Jr. and Plus with ICE- and Tripath-based amps, as well as other  proprietary Class D designs, and the Cherries are far more tonally  accurate, dynamic, refined, and musical, musical, musical.

Steve, EH makes steel pin and gold pin versions of their 6h30 tube. Some may say this is cosmetic, but I've compared the two and the golds are smoother.
An easy way to tell without pulling the tube out is to look at the box. If there is any gold color on it, you've got GPs. The steel pin boxes are standard black and white.

Guys, even Jeff Dorgay (an unapologetic Class D cynic) thinks the Cherries are musical amps and put them in the same company with ARC Class D integrated, CI Audio, and recent Bel Canto. All are more expensive than the Cherry Plus - they start at $5K.

Gee I thought the preamp was broken on but on Sunday the bottom end got really lush and more musical.  I didn't think it could get better.  What ever was happening the Cherry always kept the musical pace, timber and bass on target.

Yes, I just put the Plus back into the system for the weekend. It's a great sounding amp. Wish I could keep it but I can't keep all of them.
