Hi guys,
Today I did a little adjustment for the tweeter's cap, i lower it to 3.5uf. Overall sound a lots less fatige and allow longer listtening session throughout all types of music program. My rederence cd consist of "immortal Beloved soundtrack" and " State and Main Soundtrack", Yamaha Ca410 and Yamaha Ca510 integrated amp with Diy Cat6 cable.
All in All, music reproduction is very satisfying. It is what it is, a low budget Ob design.Very straight forward with simple filter network (very few parts). I would strongly recommend anyone want to be convince what open baffle system would sound like compare to traditional enclusure type system. Sensitvity estimate at about 86db at 8ohms. I haven't done any specific FR measurement, everything done with simple logic calculation and adjust according to hearing satisfaction. The HiVi B4n is indeed a very good mid range driver, although can also be use as a full range as well depend what ur taste of music is... My Sakamotto budget ob design as present can be very good mated with any home theatre system application. The low end extention (in room estimated) run alot lower (feel like 30-35 hz). Mid range is precise. Top HF give an easy air feel, sweet spot is indeed very wide and can be heard loud enough to bother the guys next door...
Feel free to make a comment for the "Sakamotto Budget OB"
I am open to any further crossover adjustment if neccessary.
once again, thanks for viewing my little project...
