Center channel

I'm looking to purchase a new center channel speaker.  I now live in a condo on the Jersery shore.  I'm looking to spend up to $500.00  I just need feed back on the best sounding center speaker. OHM ratings and SPL levels are not important.

Is matching the speaker tonally to your mains important at all?  Are you using the Axiom mains in your System listing?

I'm using the Axioms (M22v3's) as mains.  And no, matching the Axioms is not important to me.  I just need a good center for HT listening.  I checked out the Salk but $800.00 is WAY to much.  The Aperion 5C is very interesting.

Matching drivers, especially tweeters, is highly recommended.

I'm thinking the same.  The Axiom V150 is very nice.

Need to do some more homework.

While I'm contemplating this, I'm going to throw one out there anyway that is less than $800, still over your budget at $675 but includes shipping.

Selah 35CC - 2 X 7" woofer, Morel dome midrange, Seas dome tweeter.

I also neglected to ask if there are size limitations.  This one is 9" X 21" X 11".

I like the Aperion C5 also.  I have no size limitations

Agreed. I don't know what an Axiom would cost for a center channel, but in the interest of "all things cosidered", it would be best to use the same driver(s) in the middle as you have flanking it.

Otherwise, You'd have a Nike on one foot and a Hush Puppy on the other foot.
