Hadcock 228 uni-pivot tonearm for sale

$300, but needs some work.

I have never used this arm, bought it a while ago, when I dreamed of building a really good table, but I gave up on that a while ago, sold the teres platter/bearing that were also part of that project.

I actually bought a 2nd wand for it, so you get two wands, but one wand is missing the counterweight and anti-skating weight.

Will take a little work, someone cut the wires at the bottom of the arm, so you will need to replace those wires, and terminate with RCA plugs of your choice.  I took a look at it the other day, and made a video of what you need to do.  I think the hardest part will be soldering to the little connector in the tonearm base.  Alternatively, you could splice into the wires where they exit the base, there is just enough wire left to splice into.

So on the negative side, you need to rewire the base of the arm, but the wires through the wand are intact.

On the plus side, you get two wands (although 2nd wand is missing weights), and an arm that is supposed to be a cut above the rega.  If fact, Six Moons called it a giant killer at it’s $800 list price, so I don’t think you can lose for my asking price.

Here is the Six Moons review

Finally, if you really can’t or don’t want to fix the interconnect, contact me and we can work something out.  The price is based on the fact that the arm needs a little work, but I will fix it for a small charge, plus parts cost.
