Any Consensus yet re older Mac mini's (2009,2010) vs 2011 for best audio quality

Looking to minimize cost but ONLY if I do not sacrifice audio quality.  Which Mac mini models are considered equivalent.  Also what cpu speed is optimal and how much memory is optimal.  Music file storage will be external.  Thank You
