I own one on suggestion from AudioKarma, a thread for years there touted the excellence of this giant-killer, so I took the plunge and never regretted it. Brilliant sound, access to HD channels with truly unique programming, ability to pull in distant channels, what's not to love? Unprecedented sensitivity, this unit has the tuner freaks wowing like never before, amazed at the price versus performance. I knew I had to get one after watching the freaks freak out!

tuna freaks love it for its sensitivity; its sonics are lacking compared to better wintage tunas.  i find it ok for background listening, and with a tube buffer between it and my (tube) preamp, i can actually sit and listen to it. (unlike xm/sirius, which is intolerable even as background music, imo - it gives me a headache after 20 minutes or so.  and there's no way you can actually sit down and listen to xm/sirius on a decent home stereo.)  many folks spend $200 or so getting the sony's modded, and then they get closer to the good wintage units.  but these li'l guys will pick up signal where even the best analog units will falter...
