Band room sound damping needed

Check this out: we have 28 seniors graduating.  We have 42 incoming Freshmen!!!  That is with NO recruiting!!!!!  That 42 will probably raise to 45 or more by the end of the year.   :!:

At the start of this school year, we had a total of 118 wind players alone.  (wind players = non drummers and flag corps members)  Currently, these numbers will go up, there are 140 wind players alone!!!  The total numbers for next year is 183 with drums and flags!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ear damage is the topic of this post.

Do any of you have leads on how I can get hundreds of square feet of high decibel level sound damping material?  If any of you know sound engineers and architects who could hook up my school with as much/many dampers as possible, please please let me know.

I'm serious about this.  My principal just approved this.

THE HORROR......

PS.  Scott, we talked about this once before.  Is your offer still good?

Absolutely.

Tell you what, I'm planning on going to Deadfish's house not this weekend but next, to let him experience his Altecs with triodes (mine and the Jolida 300b, I really plan on really corrupting him), maybe if we buzz over there together we can stop by your school, do some quick measurements of your room and come up with how much damping material (and what type) you will need.

If we've got enough time I could drag along the Sencore and we could do some RT60's.

I've got the source for all your materials. You and I can do the calculations on the room treatments (it's easy or should be depending on your room). I can point you to the guys that sell the panels. Then all you will need is the band boosters to install the treatments.

Give me a buzz when you get a chance.
