The digital loop of BAD-1
« on: 14 Nov 2011, 03:57 pm »
Hi, James

Will the digital loop benefit from the dejitter technology of Bryston?

Will the digital signal input into the BAD-1 be resampled and dejittered before going out from a SPDIF out?

Once I input any digital signal through any input of the BAD-1, the SPDIF out will always send a digital signal out?  Is it possible to turn off the SPDIF out?

many thanks

Hi John

The loop just passes whatever it is fed and does not process it in any way.

What's the BAD-1?

I think the OP is calling the BDA-1 a BAD ONE.  I disagree

I thought he was referring to a new upcoming Bryston Analog to Digital converter, for digitizing LPs and such.

Actually, ripping LPs to a memory stick via a BAD-1 (or whatever it's called) might not be a bad idea especially if yo've got a BDP-1?

The ADCs could come straight out of the SP3 (assuming it converts analogue to digital for processing?)

The case for it woudn't need to be too far disimilar to that already used for the Bryston DAC?

Add a Lynx 22 option for the BDP-1?
