FS: Coincident Frankenstein 300b mkii: SOLD
« on: 14 Nov 2011, 03:28 am »
I am selling my Coincident Frankenstein 300b's to the AC community as I would prefer to sell it to a "virtual" friend here as it has brought me much listening pleasure and is rarely available used ( two on AG in the last year......and I bought both!)

They come with Shuguang BT tubes that are just now getting broken in fully.  Reason for the upgrade:  I just bought the Silver version as I prefer the silver to the black.  This is an amazing amp, and I preferred it with my Zu's to all of the following amps:
Pass XA 30.5
Art Audio PX-25
Art Audio Carissa
Decware Mini Torii
Melody I2A3

The amp would be about a 7 on the Audiogon scale due to:
1.  I am the second owner.  I bought it 6 months ago from Israel Blume who is the owner of Coincident.
2.  On the bottom of each amp, there is a dampening material that has been added.
3.  There are minor surface imperfections that come with age.   None visible by photo or more than a few feet away.

Google the reviews at high-endaudio.com.   This is a great amp, with amazing midrange and very good bass.

Will ship without power cords, no manual, in original boxes.

PP plus 3%.  Shipping not included.  Photos available on my Audiogon ad.

Great price and a great seller.  Darn tempting, but I've gotta resist.

Amp still for sale, buyer fell through.  Price drop to $2995 without tubes for a hassel free and easy transaction :thumb:   Have original containers for shipping.  If you want the tubes (with the amp only)add $200.  Now that's a deal.  The tubes alone were at least $700......

Btw, took these to a friends house here in San Francisco this weekend, on his 98 dB efficient Pendragons, the amp was dead quiet.  I repeat dead quiet and of course fantastic.  Great bass, great mids, blah blah blah :).
