Help identifying tubes ...

Just wondering if there's anything worthwhile that you can tell in these pics.  Somebody offered them to me free, but it's about a 3 hour round trip ... is it worth the time and $30 gas to go get them?

Are they new or used? Picture clarity isn't good enough to discern much. If they are used, you'll have to test each and every one. If you have need for them, maybe worth your while, otherwise what will you do with them?

New and used, and I realized they would need to be tested.  I'm just wondering if there are any worthwhile audio tubes in the pile or if they're 'worthless to us' TV tubes.  He did send me a pic with other smaller tubes in boxes and there were some RCA 12AU7's and 6SN7 types, but most were TV tubes. 

What would I do with them?  Horde of course ... might have a use someday

I guess that's a nice way of saying you don't recognize anything either?   :lol: 

I do see a couple Tung-Sol in there, and see a 6N6 on one of the tubes in the top pic.  I wish I could get an idea of what those bigger power tubes are in the 2nd pic.  2 look to be 6cu6 which are worth maybe a buck. 

3 hours driving is more of a commitment that you might think!

Sorry, Iam not a expert tube. TV tubes are not a problem, the 6350 is a TV tube, and had great sound, but it not a hot salles. I could not read any more than you already read.
I would be hopeful if the donor is a widow or relative, who does not know audio, but if the donor is an audiophile, the tubes should not be worth anything.
That big tubes seems to be pentodes, they had alot of pins.

Think of it this way, if you get two good 12AU7s out of it then the trip was worth it.  If you get no good tubes out of it you can post them on ebay at .99 each opening bid and probably make a little bit of change.

Can you get a list of the tube numbers before driving out to get them?
