Dan,
I owed you a big thank for pointing out the Belden 8422 to audio enthusiast. I bought into the cable hyped when I first started out in audio many years ago. I spent quite a bit of money on exotic cable for awhile and after many years I found out why I was taken so badly.
a) I was not relying on my own ears but rather from what the audio store and claim to be audio experts to tell me that expensive cable sounded better. To make matte worse, I kept telling myself during that time that you get what you paid for so some thing expensive must be better.
b) During that time, I was confusing between some thing sounding different and sounding neutral.
After many years, I got rid of all my exotic cable except for a few that I could not sell. Now my system consist of the Belden 8422 for IC and the Lowes 6 gauge THHN for speaker cable.
I must say the Belden 8422 is unbelievably good for the money especially if one can build it (it is very easy to make the IC). I have compared it extensively with friends of mine expensive ICs and the Belden 8422 over periods of many months. The Belden 8422 came out on top every time. I am sure there are better IC out there but for the money I have not found any thing better.
