yes, LG's are quite good.  I've got a 60" in my living room that has been on every day without fail (sometimes for 16+ hours without anyone actually in the room watching it   ) for almost 4 years now.  I've seen a lot of them in the field.  They're good sets.  Lots of features and easy to calibrate.  Not the absolute black levels of the Pioneer Kuro sets... but good warranty, good quality, and great price for the value of TV you get.  I recommended this particular set to a number of friends who bought it and they've all been quite happy with it.... of course they paid significantly more than this... at least one guy has had it setup for going on a year now with no issues.

Too bad one isn't local to me, good 60" for that price is a steal.
