Danny,
Can you let us know what those new 8" subs will be going for?
Also, any news on the amps? I know you usually let everyone know when you're ready. Just thought I'd throw the question out there. It's been kinda slow around here lately.

The new 8" servo subs are going to have to be $129 each. And the price of the 12" servo subs are going up to $179 each. This is all do to the de-valuing of the US dollar.
I will post specs and details on the 8 as soon as I get caught up a little.
I have not felt like pushing just yet as amps for them are still not available.

Are they going to use the same amps as the 12" size?
Are the new amps the PEQ3's that Brian was working on?

What are the trade offs between the 8 and the 12? Will the 8's play higher? And the 12's play lower? I assume that would be the case.

Brian is working on new A370 amps that will easily power these as well. He is also working on a smaller sized plate amp (less than 8" wide) to mach the new 8" woofers.
The servo will control everything about them regarding how low they can play.
These will allow a much smaller (less wide) baffle and they also have the advantage of less moving mass.

Thanks corndog71. I'm surprised I didn't post this exact question. Looking forward to all the doors these new 8" woofers will open. New speaker models? New servo box designs too? Should have a contest to see who can predict the exact frequency the new subs will play down to. I'm not good at the waiting game.

The new 8" sub is an amazing driver. I was at Danny's place on Wednesday and saw that 8" play a 1Hz test tone, free air, without the servo control, with unbelievable excursion and with no motor noise!!!!!
