bookshelf speakers for bryston 3bsst
« on: 1 Nov 2011, 05:33 pm »
I am using bryston 3bsst with passive pre (axiom) which is driving a studio monitor small bookshelves (Klein Hummel P110). I have been admirer of neutral as well as live kind of sound .the K&H being from studio monitors group are like that only.
I want to try some other speakers now like atc scm 11, scm 19 .
How does bryston sound with an atc speakers?
Any other bookshelves with true and neutral sound ?

Having owned the SCM 11 and 19 as well as PMC DB1i (with Bryston gear), I second the PMC vote.  The ATCs are great speakers but they lack bass due to the sealed cabinet.  Very accurate revealing speakers, but the PMCs are also very revealing but much more fun and to me have a more "live" sound.  The TB2i is excellent.

I'm also very fond of Dynaudio.  The new Focus 160 is getting great press.  Worth checking out as well.

Try the ProAc Tablette Anniversary or the D1 or D2 (depending of your budget).

I can vouch for the B&W PM1s on Bryston.
