Hum in Cornet2

Hum in Cornet2

I have finished my cornet2 in the hammond case and all is well except for some hum.  So, in reading the other threads I have done the gray wire mod but to no effect.  What I have noticed though is that if I pull the rca cables out halfway so that they aren't all the way in I go from hum to hiss... 

Any ideas?

BTW, tubes are:

NOS Bendix 6106
New Gold Lion 12ax7's
New Gold Lion 12au7

If I could get rid of this hum, I can tell that I will be in for a treat.  Dynamics and detail are outstanding!

No suggestions?  Maybe I need to somehow isolate the RCA jacks?

Sure, but I'm not near it now.  I have the board mounted RCA jacks though.
