I can say this. I listened to the Ascend CBM, GR Research N1X, Whrafedale Pro Studio Monitors, and Selah Aura Jr (only pair I did not own were the GR) at one time in my house. The Selah's can be had for around $700, and were the favorite in that group. The N1X was also very, very nice. The difference between GR and Selah being a matter of taste, both were excellent, the Ascends second to the last, and then the pro monitors last. The only problem with this Selah option is that a sub would be needed since they are sealed only, but I know Rick has a few tricks up his sleeve. I have heard the Sierra 1, not in the same listening session, and to my ears the Jr.'s sound much cleaner with better imaging, and more tuneful bass (although less in quantity) for less money.
