Congrats on your new cans!!

They look sweet and I am sure they have made you smile a 'a-bunch!!!'

I fee the same way with my recent LCD2 purchase...and still do!.

The Lyr amp will push these cans very well!!

Enjoy!

Thanks Ed, thats nice of you.  :)

I've heard about their open, clean, and detailed sound. A big improvement over the previous version (HE5) which had a fatiguing sound signature. How do they perform with rock music? i bet they do well on most genres!
Pretty much everything sounds great and the bonus and something I never thought about was watching movies..OMG, I hear stuff I never heard before and I've seen some of these films 10-20 times....I love sci-fi and its incredible with these.
I'm finding some rock to be a tad harsh at times but these are far from broken in........they already sound different than when new, someways not as good, others way better, they'll smooth out I have no doubt--when I say harsh I'm absolutely nitpicking.........

Alex--I have been smiling since Friday at 6:30 when UPS came...I sat out front with about 5 other folks and we camped out all day, made a party of it....LOL...next is the amp....EF5 I've decided!!!!! :thumb:

I was thinking of listening to a Stevie Nix BluRay concert but never did it until last night! I put the bluray into my Oppo BD83SE and set the sound to 2 ch PCM (tried the other modes...not good at all), but the 2 ch PCM was very nice.

The quality of the sound was very good and like you say you hear things, details etc that are missed in the Home Theater mode...very nice and intimate.

I love sci-fi...Transformers,X-Men,TRON,AVATAR, Star Trek etc..etc... so the sound just blows me away with how good it is and how much background stuff is there that I never heard before, dialog, next action movie you watch check it out... Enjoy
