VMPS Site out of date

I don't even care if it's slick or glossy- the fact is it's seriously out of date.  The RM-1's listed on the site don't even exist anymore and there's no mention of the RM-30's.  Even if the site wasn't really fancy, it should at least reflect the current product line! :o

However, if Brian's current rate of orders satisfies his lifestyle/needs, then perhaps it just isn't important enough for him to update it.

JC's already commented that they are still experimenting with the speaker line. I've been around less than a year and there have been, what, at least 3 product line tweaks in that time? For a one(-ish) man company, that's a fair bit of development. Yeah, it would be great if Brian had someone come in once a month and update the site, but every professional designer I know wants $5,000 and up. I can see where Brian would rather sink his money and energy into tweaking the product line, and relying on viral marketing (think of yourselves as virii, people) to handle generating sales.

As much as I'd like a pretty website, when I see one, I'll suspect Brian is needing to fish for sales - which is not in and of itself a happy sign. Bose markets. VMPS sells.

Yeah, what Babcock said...  The site doesn't need to be redesigned it just needs to be updated with the most current info.  It would not be more than a day's work.  A bit of typing is all.  Sure, a little facelift wouldn't be bad, but it isn't mandatory.  A list of models, their features and prices...basic stuff.

I am not trying to tell them how to run their business, as Florian said vmpseurope is a worthwhile substitute.  But as CornellAlum said, obviously they don't feel it's a priority.  Still, some current information about the latest models would seem logical.  Geez, the website has a link to Harmonic Discord fer cripes sakes, not even Audiocircle!  Sheesh!
